The Depot Outlet has granted $50 to every 1st - 4th grade student at all Winneshiek County Schools to use towards a field trip for the 2024-2025 school year.  Winneshiek County schools have claimed $35,550 for their students to use for field trips!

The DOLR (Depot Outlet Lower Rate) Program began in 2008.  This is a discounted taxi fare program for persons with disabilities.  The program is funded solely by the Depot Outlet and reimburses Hometown Taxi $2.00 per fare for qualified riders with disabilities.  The Depot Outlet reimburses an average of $12,000 per year for disabled riders.

Many Winneshiek County area church organizations choose to volunteer to provide personnel, planning, treats and prizes to the local nursing and assisted living homes.  Depot Outlet will reimburse each church $50 per occasion the church provides prizes or treats for the Bingo games.  The average annual amount donated for Bingo is $4100.

Approved nonprofit and government agencies in Winneshiek County have the authority to refer their clients in need to the Depot Outlet voucher program.  Residents in need may be given up to $50 to shop for necessities at the Depot Outlet.  The annual voucher sales average is $1600 in merchandise donated to those in need.

The Depot Outlet Board of Directors will hear special requests from Winneshiek County nonprofit organizations requesting funding for large projects.  The Depot Outlet was honored to be able to provide a large sum to the Decorah Fire Department towards the building of the Training Center.  This center is utilized by all of the surrounding fire departments in training the fire fighters who protect us all.
